It was originally titled Prince Rupert of the Palatinate With His Tutor in Historical Dress by Rembrandt and then attributed to Gerrit Dou. They are now saying it is from the Workshop of Rembrandt. They think that a student painted over Rembrandt’s sketch and the hand is believed to be by Rembrandt. Here is a link to a 2010 article with details.
